This year, the Solemnity of Corpus Christi will be celebrated jointly by Holy Family Parish Athens and St. Peter Parish Petersburg at Holy Family Church on the Sunday June 7th 2026.
I cordially invite everyone to take part in this beautiful celebration. The Holy Mass will be at 9:00 AM (309 N Springfield Rd. Athens, IL) followed by a Eucharistic Procession and parish potluck.
Corpus Christi is a celebration of the Real Presence of Christ in the Holy Eucharist. It is also a public witness of our faith in the Lord, truly present among us in the Blessed Sacrament. This feast offers a wonderful opportunity to receive God’s grace and mercy.
May the Eucharistic Lord bless us abundantly as we come together in faith and thanksgiving.
